Planeswalkers along with previously unseen bonus comics up till November 16, 2015.





Planeswalkers of Dominaria

Magic’s movers and shakers are the planeswalkers-sorcerers who were born with the ability to cross worlds.
Whilst anyone with the will and talent can master a color of magic, it takes a spark to leave and enter planes by will.

This planeswalking spark is born into only one out of a few million children. Although it is possible that planeswalking can be harnessed artificially (as the artificers following the Thran legacy have proven), most planeswalkers “walk” naturally, by use of their spark.
The presence of the planeswalking spark does not mean that its bearer is automatically a planeswalker.
Rather, the spark allows a person to call upon mana from external planes in the multiverse. With such great resources of mana, a person can then use his, her, or its spark to planeswalk.
Essentially, planeswalking is divided between having both the spark and the necessary mana.

Many who possess the spark become accomplished sorcerers, as the spark conveys a natural affinity to magic. But those who are lucky enough to be apprenticed by a true planeswalker will find that one day their spark flares-to the point where they themselves can truly walk the planes of Dominia.
There are instances where a spark-bearer managed to harness enough power to planeswalk. Most of these random planeswalkers do not have the control required for such enormous energy and thus are both unpredictable and dangerous.

Few outside the planeswalker circle know of this spark. Although it can be sensed by other planeswalkers, the spark is indiscernable to others and thus many have attempted to planeswalk simply by accumulating power.
However, unless one possesses a certain spell or relic, power does not equal planeswalking if the spark is not present.

Although planeswalkers are amongst the most powerful forces in the multiverse, they are not immortal. Planeswalkers can be killed, depending on their strength and positioning, and although many planeswalkers can recreate bodies, a planeswalker’s life is known to be finite in most cases.
Some of the more enigmatic planeswalkers are worshiped as primal gods in various cultures, and indeed, the ages of certain planeswalkers are shrouded in mystery. Although planeswalkers tend to be the overshadowing powers in many expansions, they are actually rarely seen in the storyline as compared to normal magic users.
