use either the batch installer or the vbscript installer to install adobe photodeluxe business edition.

there are individual registry imports and exports in the folder 'Adobe Photodeluxe BE 7x64Program FilesPhotoDeluxe BE 1.1BatRegInfo', they are written into the batch files or run from the vbscript. if there are any problems running the vbscript files, run the batch files as administrator. essentially the contents of the folders 'KPCMS', 'program files', 'program data', 'PSFONTS' and 'windows' need to be copied to their respective locations. also, if there is a permission denied error while installing and uninstalling with the vbscripts, remove the read-only attributes of the files.
the registry file entries enable windows 7 compatibility, and enable the photo browser, though the slideshow doesn't work. some insignificant functions of photodeluxe are unavailable since it is such an old program from 1999 with 16-bit applications and this installer is a very lite version, and some, such as the business card maker, require the original install disc to be loaded. the original 'HP Scanjet 5300C disc with Photodeluxe Business Edition' is available as a torrent for downloading. you will also need the original disc if you want to change the 'licensed to:' information. copy the PBE.EXE after installing the original program from the HP disc, if you have it, into 'Adobe Photodeluxe BE 7x64Program FilesPhotoDeluxe BE 1.1', it will retain your user registration. or you can use PE Explorer to change the licensing information, leave a space after the name and serial entries. open the PBE.EXE file with PE Explorer, and in the task bar select the four-colored diamond shaped icon, 'resource viewer/editor'. select 'string' and double-click the 630 entry, you can edit the name and serial there. save it when you're done, you might want to check the 'section headers' icon and 'recalculate section headers', it's the little calculator icon.

the only pop-up warning left is 'there is no email client etc...'. i haven't figured out how to get rid of that, it doesn't show up often. if there is an issue with photodeluxe not recognizing file extensions after a screen capture, try copying an image in photodeluxe to the clipboard to replace the screen capture.

the 'delete appdata tmp.vbs' in the 'batreginfo' folder might help to remedy a situation during uninstallation of photodeluxe with a batch file if they are run without 'runasadmin' several times. ccleaner and rfa8 work well to clean some clsid guid registry keys if there are persistent lock-ups in photodeluxe. simply logging off and on also helps clear things up, such as if the font file is in use. the delete at reboot registry file adds a shell context menu to folders and files, this option should remove them if they can't be deleted.

included is 'winhlp32.exe' in case you want to view the pbe.hlp file, and the 'Help Decompiler 21' folder has a small program that will convert .hlp files to .rtf.
