photodeluxe business edition is a quick and capable photo editor from 1999.

use the batch installer to install adobe photodeluxe business edition, right
click and run as administrator. the batch file also has an uninstall option.

essentially the contents of the folders 'KPCMS', 'program files', 'PSFONTS',
'windows' and the photodeluxe shortcut need to be copied to their respective
locations. some insignificant functions of photodeluxe are unavailable since
it is such an old program with 16-bit applications and this installer is a
very lite version, and some, such as the business card maker, require the
original install disc to be loaded. the original 'HP Scanjet 5300C disc with
Photodeluxe Business Edition' is available as a torrent for downloading.

you will also need the original disc if you want to change the 'licensed to:'
information. copy the PBE.EXE after installing the original 32-bit program
from the HP disc, if you have it, into 'Adobe Photodeluxe BE 7x64Program
FilesPhotoDeluxe BE 1.1', it will retain your user registration. or you can use
PE Explorer to change the licensing information, leave a space after the name
and serial entries. open the PBE.EXE file with PE Explorer, and in the task bar
select the four-colored diamond shaped icon, 'resource viewer/editor'. select
'string' and double-click the 630 entry, you can edit the name and serial there.
save it when you're done, you might want to check the 'section headers' icon
and 'recalculate section headers', it's the little calculator icon.

if there is an issue with photodeluxe not recognizing file extensions after a
screen capture, try copying an image in photodeluxe to the clipboard to
replace the screen capture. basically open a photo, click it or select an area,
then press ctrl+c, or right click and copy.
