201. Welcome to Monterey 10/9/1958

The second season of Zorro opens with Don Diego and Bernardo visiting Monterey, California. They have been sent there by a group of Los Angeles investors to look over an import business bringing supplies from Europe run by Se±or Verdugo. Diego is suspicious of Verdugo because almost all potential investors have been robbed on their way to see him.

Diego gives Verdugo the false information that the money is being sent via the Guadalupe Trail but unfortunately, Sergeant Garcia and Corporal Reyes, who have been sent with the money along the Camino Real, decide to take a shortcut and use the Guadalupe Trail.
