With just a few dates left on the band's way-too-long tour, musician Dan Ferry takes a shortcut back to the hotel--and picks the wrong dark alley to go down. Within days, he's overcome with urges to attack the people around him. But Dan isn't the only one going crazy. An infection is spreading through the country. As it sweeps closer to the band's home state, Dan and his best friend and bandmate, Ray Ford, must find a way to protect those they love from the parasites, the infected, the panicked...and themselves.
