Xdelta3 is a must have for MKV enthusiasts and fansub groups.It lets you publish patches for video files like mkv,mp4,avi by comparing the old file and new file resulting in a patch file containing the differences between them.

This is actually helpful in cases when you want others who have the old copy of a file (let's say one where the subtitles are wrong) to get the new file (containing corrected subtitles) without having to download the whole corrected file.
