For me it took 1 hour and 22 min with an ssd. (for anyone who want a time estimate) :)

From what I remember from other similar preloads - yes, the unlocker loops over the same files, something about rewriting the files yadda yadda yadda, anyway! takes some time [looong time] but it does its work, just be patient, it should stop re-looping in the end.

A lot of people seem to be confused on what an "unlocker" is and what it does. The preload was a collection of compressed and encrypted files. This unlocker goes through and decrypts and uncompresses the files. It does not crack the game. You will still need to apply the crack after having run this unlocker.

Just toss the files from this torrent into the steamapps / depotcache folder from the preload, run Unpack.bat, and wait several minutes for the unpacking. Also make sure you have enough disk space on the drive, because that will cause errors if you don't.

Once that is done, download the crack that @mercs213 uploaded and linked to here at the top of these comments, and follow the instructions on the main page for that torrent.
