What the hell did I just watch? I liked most of it but what is it with Mulder and that poster?

Why does this have elements of the show red shoe diary 's in this?

I mean, a transgender character, a peeping tom, Mulder and Scully both in underwear, Mulder letting a peeping tom get away with it (a hint somewhat of the inner mulder/Ducovony?), and a character who watches porn all afternoon.

What seems off is the pace. The older episodes have 5 more min of run time. That's lots for tv. Maybe that has something to do with it.

Anyway, the episode has been cleaned up enough so as I can watch it with my kids.

Less of mulder attacking the poster, trimmed a few of the jokes for more seriousness , no picture scene with the dude in the portapotty, no Mulder in his underwear, no one mentions porn, and less crappy dialog in a few places.
