They were scanned from the original paper issues. Quality editor (Mediozo-Novus) is what accounts for the great look.

What is the difference between noads and c2c versions?

c2c stands for cover-to-cover, meaning that the release includes scans of every page from the front cover to the back.
noAds is a release that has had the ads removed, and sometimes also preview and editorial pages, depending on the scanner.
