The program is supported almost all the existing fomaty Archives : RAR, ZIP, CAB, ARJ, LZH, TAR, GZ, ACE 2.0, BZIP, JAR, UUE, GZIP, BZIP2 and 7 -Zip, while it has many very useful features - encryption , support of continuous (solid) archives, in which the compression ratio can be 10 - 50 % more than the usual methods of special compression algorithm compresses multimedia files , support of multivolume archives, and many others.

1. Bugs fixed :
a) processing nested archives , WinRAR could try to open the file as a self-extracting internal rather than an external file to open . This happened if the internal file was saved without compression , and external archive name was nonstandard extension ;
b) RAR Unix could not deploy hard links saved WinRAR, if the original name included communication path separator characters .
