The varied wildlife that resides along the river, from its source in Germany's Black Forest to the Ukrainian and Romanian Black Sea coast. Passing through ten countries, the Danube is the most international river in the world and connects a succession of spectacular landscapes.

The impact of climatic extremes on the river's wildlife, including how they dictate patterns for breeding, hunting and hibernation. As the Danube flows through its various landscapes, it transforms. Floods and drought also affect life on the great river.
