Whited00r 5.2.1 is Software Update for iPhone and iPod Touch !



Normal or Unlocked?

Please download Normal release if you can legitimately activate you device via iTunes AND you don’t need carrier unlock.
If you don’t need carrier unlock there could be two possibilities: or your device is factory unlocked (as Italian iPhone 3G) or you are using the iPhone with the official carrier that sold you the device.
All other users should choose Unlocker firmwares because they need carrier unlock. Whited00r Unlocker firmware works perfectly on iPad Baseband 6.15.00

Installation

This process is safe and tested, but you are doing this at your own risk. For this reason we suggest to backup your data (whited00r5 offers iCloud application to backup your Game saves). Please transfer your application from the device back to iTunes (right click on device name in iTunes, Transfer Purchases). We absolutely recommend that you make a clean installation without restoring from a backup and we will not provide support if this rule is not respected.

Pwned DFU Mode

This step is required only for new Whited00r users, or if iTunes doesn’t allow to install Whited00r in step 3. If you have Whited00r installed on your device already, you could skip this step.

Install Whited00r

Open iTunes on the screen about your device. Click on Restore holding ALT (MacOS) or SHIFT (Windows) at the same time and select the whited00r Software Update (.ipsw) from you computer.



If you can’t install Whited00r firmware after following the Step 2, don’t forget that it does only support iPod Touch 2G MB series, not the MC one (it has a different, most recent Bootloader). Check it in Settings – General – Info – Model: the first two characters indicate the series.

Complete the installation

After installation (could take up to 15 minutes, reboot the device twice) iTunes will ask you if you want to restore from a backup. Please choose “Set up a new iPhone/iPod” to improve speed and avoid strange problems. Clean installation is better and the the only way to get our support!
