White Lotus Rising documents the work of Indira Johnson in the Ten Thousand Ripples (TTR) peace project. The film follows the installations of emerging Buddha sculptures and project events in Fall 2012 and Spring 2013 with interviews that provide insight into the social impact of the art project . The film highlights psychological research and presents statistical analysis on crime comparing sculpture neighborhoods to non-sculpture neighborhoods to evaluate qualifiable and quantifiable evidence of the effects of art in low income, high crime areas.
