Since the start of the twenty-first century, demonic aggression has grown significantly, but in recent years, the Vatican has discovered that all of the demons are originating from one dark, distant planet called SULLEN DUN.

Father Olin Caedius (a highly decorated Magic Priest from the Vatican's secret army) has established the HINTERLAND, a well-fortified base, on SULLEN DUN to remedy this situation. There, Magic Priest Trainees monitor demonic activity and report immediately whenever demons head for Earth. Unfortunately, the demons are very elusive and sneak past the HINTERLAND's sensors on a regular basis. How? Nobody knows.
