From Aegis Defence Lines to Aquila Strongpoints, the battlefields of the Imperium are punctuated with these looming structures – towering bastions and inviolable fortresses that bristle with fire ports and heavy weapon emplacements. To assault such bulwarks is to charge headlong into the face of death. Only the most determined armies, led by the canniest of commanders, have any hope of victory against such brutal defences.

In the far future, where there is only war – many of these armoured strongholds have changed hands many times – pitting Mankind against its corrupted self, or versus any of the pitiless xenos races that prowl the galaxy. Within those defended sanctuaries are ancient armaments with firepower sufficient to hold back numberless hordes and scour the skies clear of enemy aircraft.

In Stronghold Assault, you will find evocative background accounts of the Relief of Kellenport and the Fellguard incident, two of the Imperium’s hardest fought siege wars of the 41st Millennium. Also included are full rules and updated datasheets for all the fortifications that are currently available, from the Wall of Martyrs to the Fortress of Redemption. There are new Siege War missions and new upgrades, allowing players to bolster their offensive capabilities or provide additional protections.
