Without Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Roy Orbison and Carl Perkins, the music and fashions of the past half century would have been very different indeed. But these ‘big 5′ are by no means the full story of the label and these released illustrate that. Although well-known names feature on the CDs, so to do lesser-known and hardly-known names, who all have their own place in musical history and still deserve to be heard.
