I have windows 8.1 x64 and it worked perfectly (so far) this is what I did. I'll post updates if I have problems later on
Not sure if this'll work on Win 7 or earlier but it's worth a try.

I used DAEMON TOOL-LITE, (the latest free version) to create a Virtual Drive, you don't need to burn a CD.

The trick is to mount each cd as it prompts on the SAME virtual drive.

1. Create a Virtual Drive.

-mount it with CD1 FIRST(right click on created drive and
click "MOUNT". Open the virtual drive with the mounted
file. Click Install and continue onwards to wait for
the prompt.

2. When it prompts, mount the SAME drive with CD2 FIRST, THEN
press "ok" on the game installation window. (the
program should continue to install afterwards).

3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 for CD3. The installation should
finish afterwards

4. Crucial step, otherwise you might get a memory error.

-Install the program in the "Unofficial Update" folder
BEFORE starting the game.
5. Start the game from the virtual drive in PC/My computer
folder or the created shortcut.

Should work flawlessly after that (hopefully). Enjoy

*correction in step 3, it will prompt for CD1 again after installing cd3, just mount and continue onwards.
