Description******************************************************************************* Uriah Heep - The Lansdowne Tapes (2002 2CD Expanded Edition) (1996) [FLAC] ******************************************************************************* ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Technical Information ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Artist...............: Uriah Heep Album................: The Lansdowne Tapes (2CD Expanded Edition) Year.................: 2002 (Re-issue) Genre................: Hard Rock Type.................: Studio & Live Duration.............: 2:31:38 Number of Songs......: 33 Artwork...............: Included Audio Format.........: Lossless Ripper...............: dBpowerAMP 15.1 Encoder..............: FLAC 1.3.0 (Level 5) Hz...................: 44,100 Channels.............: Stereo Reader...............: LiteOn iHAS524 Source...............: CD --> APE-files (not my rip) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- General Information ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Around the same time a band called "Earth" emerged from the studios as "Black Sabbath" thanks to a Bela Lugosi movie poster, an even lesser known band named "Spice" was about to see the light as "Uriah Heep", thanks to preparations in the Lansdowne Studios area for the 100th celebration of Charles Dickens' Death. Initially expected to become a "Spice" release, the addition to the fold of one Ken Hensley changed the sound of the band so drastically the lot decided on a name change. What we have here is an oversight of most of the recording sessions of Spice/Uriah Heep, with lots of alternate takes and embrionic tunes of what was to appear on Heep's first album "Very 'eavy... very 'umble" in June 1970 as well as "Salisbury" (1970) and "Look At Yourself" (1971). The rest, as they say, is history. Got these back in 2006 from a guy called Merl on Komodo Island, ripped to APE from his own CD. No logs were included. I simply re-coded the APE files to FLAC with dBpowerAMP just now, since I had the original files sitting on my HD. Enjoy!
