De legendarische Manchester United 'Busby Babes' vormden het jongste team dat ooit het Engelse
voetbalkampioenschap won. De wereld lag aan hun voeten, tot het fatale vliegtuigongeluk op 6
februari 1958 in München waarbij 22 slachtoffers vielen, waaronder acht van hen. Terwijl de
voetbalwereld wereldwijd in rouw was, toonde zowel de stad als de voetbalclub zich veerkrachtig. Ze
bouwden het team opnieuw op en brachten daarmee hoop voor de overlevenden, hun families en de
gemeenschap die de verschrikkelijke tragedie probeerden te verwerken.

United is based on the true story of Manchester United's legendary "Busby Babes", the youngest side
ever to win the Football League and the 1958 Munich Air Crash that claimed eight of the their
number. The film draws on first-hand interviews with the survivors and their families to tell the
inspirational story of a team and community overcoming terrible tragedy.
