I have never understood why people are hesitant of RARs

It's just another compression container.

There is nothing wrong with RARs from any trusted source.
If you use the free and open source peazip you are good to go.

Peazip can handle any file extension you through at it.

My only problem with this upload is, I wished I would have waited for this x265!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
