What is the magnet link. What purpose does it serve and how does one use it.....thanks

Usually the magnet link launches the torrent more quickly than the DL torrent option, also if the DL torrent button isn't working properly you can ususally rely on the magnet link. 99% of time I use magnet link.

Thanks for your courteous response to my question. Don't understand why some are rude with their answer. I did understand what to do but didn't know what if any changes would occur or if I had to do something special when I used the magnet link instead of the DL. So it is this last part I was really trying to understand.

I did get it to DL of off the torrent. I am not a techy and not as comptr savvy as some. Have a great day and thanks again.
