True Detective Season 1

True Detective is an American crime drama television series created and written by Nic Pizzolatto. The series, broadcast by the premium cable network HBO in the United States, premiered on January 12, 2014. Designed as an anthology, each season will be structured as a disparate, self-contained narrative, employing new cast ensembles and following various sets of characters and settings.




Michelle Monaghan, Michael Potts, and Tory Kittles, takes place in Louisiana and follows a pair of Louisiana State Police homicide detectives, and their pursuit of a serial killer over a 17-year period. It's unique perspective of telling the story through the hindsight of each detective involved in the original case brings them together in a way that was unforeseen to either party. The end result is one that even the greatest minds could not have been predicted.



This one has it's ups, downs, and even a few predictable moments here and there, but it's one hell of a watch. WELL WORTH the time spent watching...
