Toy Soldiers (1991)

Directed by Daniel Petrie Jr., and starring Sean Aston, Wil Wheaton, and Louis Gossett Jr. A groups of friends attend an all boys school, and can never seem to keep themselves out of trouble. Until the school falls victim to a terrorist attack, forged by a man who is seeking revenge for the capture of his king pin father, and had learned that the man responsible was seeking refuge at the school. Storming in, he and his group hold everyone hostage, and rig explosives all around the buildings. The boys take their usually troublesome antics, and use them to escape, perform reconnaissance, and devise unique defences to try and take down the terrorists, and free the hostages, before it's too late.
