Extract files, copy paste crack, steam login box on the back ground, italian files erased, and start the game.
All you have to do is:
-Creat a paste and extract the game to it.
-Extract the crack and then copy it to the game folder.
-Erase music_it.pack and local_it.pack so the game can be in english.
-Open redist paste and run vcredist_x86-90.
-Open the Login Steam Box, and leave it in the back ground.
-Now just run the game from "GameLauncher" folder.

I've been able to use encyclopedia with CPU specific crack. And i've been able to play without crashes using the crash fix from http://cs.rin.ru/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1015107#p1015107.
However, it's a trade off.
It's either: CPU Crack with Crash Fix copied over it: No crashing in battle, but still eventually crashing on the campaign screen and no encyclopedia. (Which can still cause accidental crashes too.)
Or: CPU Crack only: Access to encyclopedia but crashing randomly both in battle and on campaign screen.
I think you really need to be lucky with your CPU for the time being, some people seem to be able to play fine with encyclopedia and without crashing.
Currently grabbing the ElAmigos release. It promises encyclopedia + working battles. But it may still crash in campaign screen eventually. If true, then for now that would still be the best result I've been able to get so far.
Hope this clarifies things for some people.
Edit: I also had to remove the italian language files in order to get the game in english. Editing Language.txt did nothing. If you have the same problem, remove local_it.pack and music_it.pack in the "Total War - Attila/data" folder.
I play campaign and its ok for me. Atm no crashs. The only way the game crashing is using encyclopedia, which is totaly normal i believe since it will ask for internet connection to acess it.
And the only crack i use is from this same torrent. Everything from this torrent.
