lmao, all my DLNA devices play mkv, so does my VLC player(Free PC software) software, you are one of a few sir, MKV is a great container, you should convert it to AVI if thats what YOU want, if that's too hard, broadcast it with a DLNA server that supports transcoding on the fly(PLEX works great, or PS3 meadia server) ill keep my Matrovska, but, my favorite is mp4, like YIFY does

Haven't found a format I couldn't play yet and I'm using K-Lite codecs ( Mega package bundle plays it all and has loads of options to modify)
