Titanic: Honor and Glory V1.2 {Demo}

RECOMMENDED SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS FOR PC

The following is an approximation of what one might need to run the demo well, based on the developers' computers. This is not a strict guide for requirements. The demo may work with less.

*Windows 7 or later (May work on Vista or XP)

2Ghz to 3Ghz CPU

8GB to 16GB RAM

2GB or 4GB GPU

At least 8GB of free HD space

MINIMUM SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS FOR MAC

The following is an approximation of what one might need to run the demo well, based on UE4's minimum Mac requirments. This is not a strict guide for requirements. The demo may work with less.

Mac OS X 10.9.2 or later

Quad-core Intel or AMD processor, 2.5Ghz or faster

8GB RAM or more

NVIDIA GeForce 470 GTX or AMD Radeon 6870 HD series or higher

At least 8GB of free HD space



*WHILE IT'S CURRENTLY NOT AN OFFICIALLY SUPPORTED FEATURE IN THE DEMO,
THE DEMO DOES WORK WITH OCULUS RIFT.

*Specific, detailed requirements for the final game have yet to be determined.
*Has been tested and confirmed to work on Desktops and Laptops.



INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR PC

UnZIP the "Titanic - Honor and Glory Demo" folder to a directory of your choice, using a program like WinZIP or WinRAR if necessary.
**Navigate to Titanic - Honor and Glory Demo/Engine/Extras/redist/en-us and double click "UE4PrereqSetup_x86". Install UE4 PreReqs. You may be prompted to install this when running the demo for the first time if you have not already done this step.
In the main "Titanic - Honor and Glory Demo" directory, double click the "THGDemo" icon to start the demo. Create shortcuts to that executable if you wish.
On the main menu, click "Start Demo" to load the demo level.
**This ensures that your PC will have the proper files needed to run UE4, the engine the demo runs on.


INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR MAC

After unzipping the directory you downloaded, drag and drop the "THGDemo" file to your Applications folder.
Double click "THGDemo" to start the demo. Create shortcuts to that if you wish.
On the main menu, click "Start Demo" to load the demo level.
NOTE: You may need to adjust your Mac security settings to allow non-App Store programs to run.



KNOWN ISSUES/BUGS IN VERSION 1.2

As this demo is a small sample of an extremely early work in progress, there are many issues that have yet to be worked out. The following are issues related to the software itself in version 1.2 of the demo (does not cover issues with the Mac version of the demo):

VSync is enabled by default, but it greatly reduces frame rates and often caps them at 60fps or lower. You can disable VSync in the settings menus.
Right clicking on some info pages makes the mouse cursor disappear, thus making it impossible to navigate menus.
Info boxes in-game may or may not fail to reappear after being disabled.
Text for "About the Project" and "Disclaimer" pages in-game may be cut off at the sides on monitors not using the 16:9 aspect ratio.
Alt-Tabbing may make the mouse cursor disappear when on the main or pause menus.

OCULUS RIFT ISSUES

While Oculus Rift works with the demo, the demo was not made or optimized specifically with Oculus Rift in mind, so you may run into issues when using Oculus Rift with the demo, including bu not limited to:

Clipping through walls and doors.
Scrambled menus, making it difficult to navigate them while using Oculus Rift.
An inability to turn around when walking and using the WSAD keys. You may be able to solve this by using the arrow keys instead, with the left and right arrow keys being used to turn.
Poor performance while using Oculus Rift. Try lowering the settings or disabling VSync.
