5. Barbarossa | June – Dec 1941
The pact between Germany and the Soviet Union outwears its usefulness. Hitler turns his tanks and troops against Russia. After a succession of devastating victories, the Germans delay fatally, and the fierce Russian winter takes a grip. After an initial chaos and the loss of 2 million men and women, the Russian resistance and counteroffensive start to gain in strength.

Unimaginable barbarity and suffering that Germans brought on the Russians, and how in the end the "subhumans", as Germans called them, turned out to be the superhumans who won the war against all odds.
