Well, this isn't a spiritual book -- but it is VERY interesting nonetheless.



This is the first volume of the Autobiography of Manuel Cordova Rios (written with the help of Bruce Lamb). The second volume is Rio Tigre and Beyond -- if anyone has a copy of the second volume (which is much worse than the first), please share it.



It's something like the movie "The Emerald Forest". Kidnapped at a young age by tribesmen, he is reaised, initiated as a shaman, and trained to be the chief of the tribe. The reason? The tribe needed someone to buy weapons for them so they could stand against their enemies. The story is probably greatly embellished, but it's a classic.
