The Weather Underground

The Weather Underground documentary about the Weatherman group, founded as a militant faction of the Students for a (SDS) Democratic Society, which fought for the end of the Vietnam war, and to overthrow the U.S. government during the 1960s and 1970s.

The film consists of interviews with group members after they entered the basement and footage of anti-war and civil rights actions and protests of the time.
It was directed by Emile de Antonio, Haskell Wexler and Mary Lampson, later subpoenaed by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in an attempt to confiscate the contents of the film in order to obtain information that may help them arrest the Weatherman.



The Weather Underground um documentário sobre os Weatherman, grupo fundado como uma facção militante dos Estudantes para uma Sociedade Democrática (SDS), que lutou pelo fim da guerra do Vietnã e para derrubar o governo dos EUA durante os anos 1960 e 1970.

O filme é composto por entrevistas com os membros do grupo depois que eles entraram no subsolo e filmagens dos ações anti-guerra e de direitos civis e protestos da época.

Foi dirigido por Emile de Antonio, Haskell Wexler e Mary Lampson, posteriormente intimado pelo Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), em uma tentativa de confiscar o conteúdo do filme a fim de obter informações que possam ajudá-los a prender os Weatherman.
