Synopsis
This drama describes a story of a top model named Gu You Li with unremarkable career in her thirties who has been striving and competing with the rise of prominence new stars in the fashion industry for over a decade. In order to safeguard the agency contract that will provide her livelihood as well as the last chance for her to turn the tide, she has no choice but to accept the reality show offered to her - “Top Model Returns to Home Town”. She expects that with the halo of a top model, she could stage a comeback. However, things turn out contrary to her wishes. After going through workplace struggle, gossip incidents, conflicts in the family and the hesitation in her love life, Gu You Li loses her sense of direction to pursue her happiness.

Fortunately, she is headed back to her home town when she is in her lowest point in life. In her journey back to her home town, she gradually recalls scene after scene of her profound impression of this completely unremarkable small town that she grew up in. She only then realizes that her home town is a place filled with humanities, natural scenery as well as full of human touch. Here she meets her childhood best friend Zhao Da Quan where they used to participate in many of the neighborhood watch activities together. She slowly finds her childhood happy memories resurface to her. As it turns out, protecting your love ones is the formula to a happy life.
