A Tale of Two Cities is a classic literature masterpiece by Charles Dickens. It was first published in 1859, in England. More than 200 million copies of the novel have been sold and it becomes one of the most famous and influential works in the fiction literature history.

The story in this book is set in London and Paris prior to and during the French Revolution. It tells about the life and adventure of Doctor Manette. Against their will, they are drawn from the quiet streets of London to the merciless and bloody streets of Paris. It happens right at the height of the Reign of Terror. Soon they find themselves fall under the deathly shadow of the Guillotine.
