The Stand at Apache River is an American western first released in 1953, directed by Lee Sholem. The film is based on a novel by Robert J. Hogan and stars Stephen McNally, Julie Adams, Hugh Marlowe and Jaclynne Greene and Hugh O'Brian. It is a Universal International Pictures production, produced by William Alland.



In this western, eight stagecoach passengers are stranded while Apache warriors lay siege upon a trading post. Among the travelers is a sheriff and his prisoner. It is the brave lawman who retains order in the post and eventually defeats the marauders
