Description



The Spirit of England and France was the first of five releases by Gothic Voices undertaken in the 1990s to contrast 12th century French and English music--showing they actually had quite a bit in common. Most of the material is French, given the paucity of English sources, but the quality and variety of this material, and its stylish performance, is never in doubt.
