My brother, a die-hard Soup fan, talks shit about the Cronin shows. Like a solid half of America he dismisses them, sight unseen, as the turds they are so adept at appearing.



The rest of us.....well we all watch for different reasons but I know after a hard day of eating shit, I wanna see some son of a bitch get his. All reality involves some form of "rooting against", but usually to the detriment of a villain who fails where the hero succeeds. Cronin is better at anyone in stripping it down to the bare bolts: remove the hero, keep only the villain, and invoke the Crowd. The result? A C.O.T.W.-worthy show by the name of New York Goes To Work.



Many of you have made some noise for Charm School. I've seen clips and it's a further distillation of the well tested premise. It's damn good shit.



But this is the time of year when I make my money and move product and another hourlonger just ain't in the cards. Someone from the public realm needs to step up. I'll be the first to tell them: with these shows you just make the ball. The swarm will roll it for you.
