Aspirant singer-songwriter Jed Koning krijgt niet de kans om rust te nemen en
even uit de schaduw te stappen van zijn beroemde vader. Met tegenzin gaat hij
akkoord met een optreden op een lokaal wijngaardfeest. Daar ontmoet hij Rose,
de dochter van de eigenaar, en al snel ontstaat er een romance en volgt er een
huwelijk. Al snel na de bruiloft schrijft Jed het nummer 'The Song' wat een
grote hit wordt en hem meetrekt in de wereld van roem en verleiding.

Aspiring singer-songwriter Jed King is struggling to catch a break and escape
the long shadow of his famous father when he reluctantly agrees to a gig at a
local vineyard harvest festival. Jed meets the vineyard owner's daughter, Rose,
and a romance quickly blooms. Soon after their wedding, Jed writes Rose "The
Song," which becomes a breakout hit. Suddenly thrust into a life of stardom and
a world of temptation, his life and marriage begin to fall apart.
