The Rosetta Stone Language System - 26 Languages (Size: 6.76 GB)
Description
!!! IMPORTANT !!!
Read this first if you do not want all 26 languages. How to use this torrent! Before you use the languages you need to have the application installed, On windows this is in a .rar file called Application_XXXXXX.rar the XXXXX part is the version number and you can just ignore that. Extract all the files and run setup.exe or therosettastone.exe. There are two Application_XXXXX.rar files for windows, try either one and if you have a problem use the other. On a Mac just run the Application_VXXXXX.toast file. Short way ===================================================== Download the languages and images you need(check the list at the end of this file) and extract all the files, add them and the CATMPC.TRS CDID.TRS and Credits.TRS files to a cd/dvd/iso. (mac users need to add the files from the application cd as well, this step is optional if you are only using the languages on windows) Then install the application software for windows or mac and insert the cd/dvd or mount the image and run the program. Long way ===================================================== The first step to using the rosetta stone software after starting the torrent and installing the application is to pick which languages you want to download if you do not want all of them. Most bittorrent clients(the program you run to download the torrent) let you choose not to download some files(the languages you do not want) or pick which files to download(the languages you DO want). After you have decided you also need to make sure you download the proper image files from the torrent, to find out which images you need check the list of languages at the end of this file. (you could also just get the PCT and PCA image files if you are feeling lucky, most of the languages use those two) Next you have to open the .Rar archive files for the languages and images you need and extract the files inside to a folder(just make a new one anywhere and remember where it is, we will be using it alot), these will be folders named like XXX#pirateorg_## where X are letters and # are numbers. The last files you need are CATMPC.TRS CDID.TRS and Credits.TRS, copy them to the same folder and the language and image files/folders. MACintosh users also need to copy the files from the application cd(.toast image) to the folder. The folder with all the files in it should look like the one in the "sample_image.jpg" picture. (the picture should be in the same folder as this document) The last step is to take all the files in the folder and either burn them to a CD or DVD you can use when you want to use the languages or if you know how, make a CD/DVD image file with a program like MagicISO or Nero and mount the file to use the languages. Both of those options can be complicated so I will leave the details out of these instructions if you need help theres lots of information online if you google or search for "how to burn a CD or DVD" or "how to make a dvd image", or "how to mount and image file". If you follow the instructions you will succeed. If you don't pay attention and skip one step or one little file it won't work properly. When installing more than one language, you do it just like for one, and uncompress the different files into the same directory which you later burn into a dvd. Included with the torrent are the instructions (the same than on the description of the torrent) so you don't get a filename wrong or something. For Mac users don't forget to add the rosetta instalation image inside your dvd for the app and language. List of languages to find the images for the language you want find the language in the list and look at the end of the line for the associated picture files for example if you want image files for English(US) Level I it says you need PCT01..08 images so you would need to download "PCT01-08(jpg).rar" . Choose the Language You Want to Learn: Arabic Chinese (Mandarin) Danish Dutch English (US) English (UK) Farsi (Persian) French German Greek Hebrew Hindi Indonesian Italian Japanese Korean Latin Pashto Polish Portuguese (BR) Russian Spanish (Latin America) Spanish (Spain) Swahili Swedish Thai Turkish Vietnamese Welsh Learn through Context Rosetta Stone presents a carefully chosen selection of four images and asks you to select the image that matches the written text and the voices of native speakers. The Rosetta Stone curriculum is carefully sequenced, gradually incorporating new words, phrases, and more complex grammar as it reinforces existing learning. Your understanding of your new language grows naturally. It has been converted from zip to rar format, rar is a more universal standard and has better compresion, All archives were compressed using winrar 3.00 in command line mode using the -s(make solid archive) and -m5(best compression) options, Several languages and levels were added, it now has 26 languages, 38 seperate levels. Some languages were updated to more recent versions. The CATMPC and CDID file contents were sorted alphabeticaly, and minor typographical changes made to make them more uniform. Userguides, and language documents have been added, they can be found in the /documents folder in pdf format. How to Build a Language Disk ============================ 1. Extract the archived language file(s) you want (eg French Level I) 2. Select the relevant archived image file(s) (eg PCT01..08) (JPG version rather than PCT if it is available) 3. Extract all the archived files (of your choosen language) into a single temporary directory *NOTE: All directorys/folders and files go in this root directory, if your extracting program is putting them in a folder like "French I"(the name of the archive) you will have to move them out of it. 4. Create new "CATMPC.TRS" & "CDID.TRS" by Editing down the example multiple language versions included in this torrent. Some of the languages appear in their native form and the english equivilant can be found by looking them up in the list above. 4.5. Optional(?) add the credits.TRS file to the temporary directory 5. Burn the content of the temporary directory to a CD or DVD, Or Create a CD/DVD Image, *NOTE: If you create a image make sure the filesystem can handle the filesize, some like fat and fat32 have a 4GiB limit on filesize, anyone running windowsXP should be fine. You now have a Rosetta Stone Language(s) CD/DVD. Don't forget the application which, is only needed for the initial install, does not have to (but can) be on the same disk as the language files.
