DescriptionHEADS UP1: Original file of Bulla’s version was from the archive.org website. I used Calibre to convert the pdf to epub, and then used Microsoft Word and Sigil to fully edit and tidy the epub up. Useful Links: http://www.wagneroperas.com/indexsiegfried.html http://imslp.org/wiki/Das_Rheingold,_WWV_86A_%28Wagner,_Richard%29#Recordings HEADS UP2: There are comics here at KAT of The Ring of the Nibelung: http://kickasstorrents.ee/the-ring-of-the-nibelung-2014-digital-son-of-ultron-empire-nem-t9478519.html and here: http://kickasstorrents.ee/p-craig-russell-the-ring-of-the-nibelung-t7598276.html I downloaded and used a program called cdisplayex to view them. Also tried them out in Calibre. The torrent with the 15 files Calibre was quick to open. I found that Calibre had problems opening the larger single file. ------------------------------ Title: THE RING AND THE FIRE by Clyde Robert Bulla, Illustrated by Clare Romano Ross and John Ross The opera cycle, The Ring of the Nibelung, by Richard Wagner, stands as one of the great achievements in the history of music. Wagner based his Ring cycle on tales from Norse and German mythology. He studied ancient legends of gods, half gods, and earthly beings and he spent years writing and shaping his material. The result was an exciting and monumental story, heroic and exalted, told through impassioned and stirring music. In this book Clyde Robert Bulla tells the stories that make up The Ring of the Nibelung cycle: The Rhinegold, The Valkyrie, Siegfried, The Dusk of the Gods. The stories are magical and mysterious—larger than life, yet based on the human emotions that motivate life. Mr. Bulla is a skilled storyteller and, in his hands, Wagner’s great tale of love and hate, greed and goodness, comes to life simply, yet dramatically. Mr. Bulla includes musical themes from the four operas and tells the story of Wagner’s life and of his struggles to break with the tradition of the time and create a new form of opera, the “music drama.” Readers who love legend and mythology, and readers who delight in Wagner’s music, will welcome the clarity and simple beauty of Clyde Robert Bulla’s words as he unfolds these powerful stories of gods and people. Note: Tested all chapter (internal and application) links of both file types. I used Calibre for PC, Moon+ Reader and Aldiko for the epub file, and Kindle for PC and Kindle for Android for the mobi. When using Aldiko found that the themes to the operas displays better horizontally. Except for the internal chapter links to Characters and Themes using Moon+ Reader all chapter links work with the other ereaders. PLEASE SEED FOR AS LONG AS YOU POSSIBLY CAN - THANK YOU.
