Synopis:

A young Hebrew named Micah, unsatisfied with his father's rural life, demands his inheritance so he can try his luck in the city. Once in the city he falls under the spell of a beautiful pagan priestess who induces him to squander his money and betray his faith. Only after many trials and tribulations does Micah recover his senses and return home to his forgiving father.

70 A.C. Miquéias (Edmund Purdom), o filho de Eli (Walter Hampden), fica tão obcecado por Samarra (Lana Turner), uma sacerdotisa pagã, que pega parte da fortuna de seu pai e vai atrás dela, que foi para Damasco. Apesar de desejar muito Samarra ele se recusa a fazer qualquer oferenda aos deuses que ela adora, pois Miquéias jurou ser fiel apenas a Jeová. Mas Samarra planeja seduzir Miquéias e fazê-lo abandonar sua fé.
