What a lousy book. It uses very outdated figures as well. Please report back when the life expectancy in the Islamic world rises above that of those alcoholics in the Western world.

Islamists can't distinguish between use and abuse and this is not done in this book as well. The solutions of Islam are just to forbid almost everything and if people don't comply then just chop some hands or heads off. But if you think that restricting freedom from those that can handle freedom will lead to a healthy population, then just check out the Islamic world. The islamic world is full of drug-abuse and crime. Without drinking alcohol the life expectancy is much lower than in any Western country and the more fundamentalist the country is, the lower the life expectancy. And violence against women is condoned and even encouraged in the quran.\n

Humans are not perfect. Deal with that without restricting the freedoms of those who can who can act responsibly.\n

And the Islamic fundamentalists costs the West an awful amount of money. And how many people are killed and wounded by sectarian violence within Islam?\n

And how come that tobacco, marijuana, opium and heroin aren't mentioned in the quran if Allah knows everything? Everybody knows that smoking isn't healthy, but nobody in the Islamic world gets stoned to death for smoking cigarettes and the use of drugs like marijuana or heroin.\n

Islamists just make silly statements all the time.
