No recording information, I can't even venture a guess if it was a professional Sony recording Walkman or what. But the sound is consistent and the tape has held up well over the years prior to digital transfer. The sound of the band isn't bad. Good on the instruments but Black Francis's vocals are a little in the back on some songs. Still a cool little representation of this band way back when. You really get the feel that it's a very small enclosed space versus a theater, arena or something larger. Just a month earlier, their debut EP (Come On Pilgrim) was released and here they are showcasing all eight songs plus three more including Weird at my School which wouldn't be on a commercially available Pixies album until 2001 and In Heaven from David Lynch's film Eraserhead. So while not an excellent recording, I still chose it 'cause it's pretty cool in its own legendary CBGB way!  Enjoy & Please Help Seed!!! Related Torrents
