The Persuaders 11 The Old,The New and The Deadly-Jarnkaminen

Stock footage of Paris follows the credits/theme with some familiar upbeat music. In a hotel lobby, Danny emerges from a lift and shakes hands with a bellboy! At the reception desk he picks up a food parcel from his Aunt Olga [a rare reference to his family, unlike Brett!], note the Elton John glasses too! An old flame of his, Suzy [Anna Gael] walks in with her husband and Danny is snapped holding a bronze bird statue he’d picked up for a man as a good deed. His photo ends up on the front of a newspaper and the ‘bird’ is being sought after by the evil ‘Nazi’ Marceau [played by Patrick Troughton of Dr. Who fame]. Back in the hotel, Brett arrives and some funny dialogue follows, with jibes and taunts about each others tailors.
