Description

The Newsroom ~ Season One ~ Complete {HDTVRip}
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1870479/

From the mind of Aaron Sorkin, creator of "The West Wing" and screenwriter of "The Social Network" and "Moneyball",  comes "The Newsroom",  a behind-the-scenes look at the people who make a nightly cable-news program. Focusing on a network anchor (played by Jeff Daniels), his new executive producer (Emily Mortimer), the newsroom staff (John Gallagher, Jr., Alison Pill, Thomas Sadoski, Olivia Munn, Dev Patel) and their boss (Sam Waterston), the series tracks their quixotic mission to do the news well in the face of corporate and commercial obstacles-not to mention their own personal entanglements.

Episode 1: We Just Decided To
In the aftermath of his public tirade, acclaimed news anchor Will McAvoy (Jeff Daniels) returns to his job to find that most of his staff are leaving and his new executive producer is his ex-girlfriend, MacKenzie McHale (Emily Mortimer) and when some breaking news about a potentially disastrous oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico hits the network, the staff faces a new challenge.

Episode 2: News Night 2.0
Mac asserts control over the new incarnation of News Night and enlists a beautiful and brainy on-air economist, Sloan Sabbith, to do a nightly segment. Jim takes the fall for a Maggie mistake when doing the prep work for a report on SB 1070; Charlie forbids Reese from continuing his furtive meeting with Will; a long-festering breakup secret gets out.

Episode 3: The 112th Congress
While doing an editorial, Will apologizes for previous newscasts and promises his viewers a better show, which angers the CEO of ACN's parent company. Jim helps Maggie when she suffers a panic attack. Don presents Elliot with a challenge.

Episode 4: I'll Try to Fix You
Will becomes tabloid fodder after a confrontation with a gossip columnist on New Year's Eve, which threatens to undermine his credibility on a current news investigation. Meanwhile, Don urges Maggie to set Jim up on a date with her roommate; Mac's boyfriend pitches a story about the government's inability to prosecute financial crimes; and Neal tries out his Bigfoot theory on anyone who will listen.

Episode 5: Amen
While covering the forced ejection of Egypt's president, the team learns of a protest in Wisconsin that is condemning the govenor's plan to balance the budget of teachers and other public sector union employees, leading everyone to try to cover both stories simultaneously. Will becomes convinced of a conspiracy of the Koch brothers to institute libertarian polices through the Cato Institute and Institute for Justice.

Episode 6: Bullies
April, 2011: Will has insomnia and drops by a psychiatrist's office for a prescription. The doc, the son of a man Will consulted four years before, invites Will to sit: their session becomes flashbacks of the previous week. The Japanese may be downplaying the danger at Fukushima, Will presses Sloane to ask tougher follow-up questions, Mackenzie directs Jim and Maggie to do opposition research on Will (so Charlie can anticipate the next gossip attack), Will insists viewers' Internet comments no longer be anonymous and he receives a threat on his life, and Rick Santorum...

Episode 7: 5/1
Sunday evening, May 1, 2011. The ACN news team is at Will's for a party to mark a year of good reporting. Charlie gets a call alerting him to a major news announcement at 10. By 9:00, everyone's on their way to the studio (with Will under the influence of a Vicodin and two pot-laced cookies). Don, Sloan, and Elliot are stuck on the tarmac at LaGuardia waiting for a gate. As the team uses brains and sources to narrow the possibilities - and get confirmation of what's going on - Charlie has to make the call as to when they go on the air: get it right without collateral ...

Episode 8: The Blackout Part 1: Tragedy Porn
"News Night" refuses to lead with a pair of sensational stories, which causes ratings to plummet - and forces Will and Mac to abandon their principles in order to lure viewers back and shore up the network's bid to land a Republican debate. Will auditions an unlikely scribe, Brian Brenner, to write an all-access profile; Sloan chafes over her lack of air time to report on a critical financial crisis; Charlie learns the identity of an NSA whistleblower; Neal pitches an internet sting.

Episode 9: The Blackout Part 2: Mock Debate
Will and the "News Night" staff stage a mock debate for a pair Republican Party officials. Mac has an epiphany during a power outage; Charlie vets the credibility of an NSA insider; Lisa goes off-script during an on-air interview; Neal goes undercover as an internet troll.

Episode 10: The Greater Fool
Nina Howard surprises Mac with a damning revelation; Jim and Maggie reach a crossroad; Sloan weighs a new job offer; Neal uses his internet alter ego to smoke out a threat. Will, Mac and Charlie face off with Leona and Reese during a tense lunch meeting.
