The Metro is a 2011 Malayalam action thriller film directed by Bipin Prabhakar starring Sharath Kumar, Bhavana, Nivin Pauly, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Suresh Krishna, Bhagath Manuel, Biyon Gemini and Arun. It is an anthology film based on three separate incidents that take place in Kochi. The film is produced by Dileep under his Grand Productions.

Plot

The film is based on three separate incidents that take place in Kochi. The first one involves the murder of a young politician which is being investigated by Jaimy Padamadan (Sharath Kumar). The murder occurs during an election season and the main suspect in the case is a local don named Paruthikkadan (Suresh Krishna). The investigation is affected due to his political influences.
The next story is about Anupama (Bhavana), an I. T. Employee. She is being followed by a group of gangsters. The story takes new turns and the mystery gets solved.
The third story is about a group of five friends, Harikrishnan (Nivin Pauly), Usman (Bhagath Manuel) and the characters played by Suraj Venjaramoodu, Biyon Gemini, and Arun. Harikrishnan is a youth working in Gulf. He and his friends are travelling to [[Palai]. He has a package from Gulf which he is supposed to give to another person. The story takes new turns during their journey.

The Metro - Synopsis
Sarath Kumar who made a fantastic entry into Malayalam films through 'Pazhassi Raja' would do the solo lead now in a film titled 'Metro'. Debutant director Vyasan Edavanakakd, who is said to be a close confidante of Malayalam movie star Dileep, will be directing the movie. Dileep will be producing the movie under the banner of Grand Productions. Bipin Prabhakar will pens the script. Five young stars will be seen in other pivotal roles in Metro, which is said to be a thriller. Sarath would appear as a police officer in the film to be directed by newcomer Vyasan Edavanakkad. This would be the film produced under the banner of Grand Productions after the grand success of 'Malarvady Arts Club'.
