A rather ironic title, since 'diet men' failed abysmally to make us thin, yet they continue to rake in billions of $£ from us each year. A nourishing viewing, served with a healthy side plate of suspicion, yet backed up with full-fat facts.

Following on from last year’s series ‘The Men Who Made Us Fat’, Guardian journalist Jacques Peretti returns with four episodes that neatly tip the scales the other way – to a consideration of the forces behind the MONUMENTAL LIE CALLED DIETING.

The upshot of the whole series is that the "DIETING INDUSTRY IS A MASSIVE CON" and people desperate to look "sexy" will continue throwing away good money at it for a promise that will NEVER be delivered.

Only episodes 1 & 2 are in HD. But worry not, 3 & 4 are perfectly watchable.
