Great quality, but a horrendous album. They've forgotten what it means to be The Mars Volta, to be one of few 'Progressive' modern bands, actually making a progression. Now they're just doing things for the sake of doing them. The new drummer has chops, but sounds like a drum machine, the synthesiser sounds are cheap and nasty and unimaginative...in short, I'm supremely disappointed with this album, but happy that they're still together, hopefully the next album will be a return to their older materials...I'm talking anything before this album :S
