By 1966, four-track tape machines were still the standard even in major studios. Four tracks are just not enough to mix a decent stereo mix, so the mono mix for this album is generally considered better. Side A plays with noticeable surface noise but is still enjoyable. Side B is significantly quieter but still plays with a bit of noise. B6 plays with some distortion. I may try to buy this album in mint condition, still sealed ideally, and re-rip it so be on the lookout. Please comment on the sound quality. Sharing Widget |
