DescriptionA collection of documents and adventures for The Lord of the Rings Roleplaying Game that were freely available on the Decipher website: • Errata, rulings, and answers to Frequently Asked Questions. • A summary of how to generate a player character. • Character and Grimoire sheets from the Narrator's Screen. • The Road to Henneth Annûn (Quick-start Sample Adventure) by Douglas Sun In the province of Ithilien in the Kingdom of Gondor, the Dark Lord Sauron has thrown an army against the causeway forts outside the ruined city of Osgiliath, which are defended by a small but determined garrison. The beleaguered garrison needs a few intrepid messengers to get through to Lord Faramir at the secret stronghold of Henneth Annûn and ask him to come to their aid. The fate of these brave men – perhaps even of Gondor itself – hangs on successful delivery of this message. Can your party see it through? This short, introductory sample adventure, designed to introduce new players to roleplaying games, includes Fast Play Rules and three ready-made characters. • The Relics of the Dead by Kevin Madison The ghost of King Beogrin, banished from his stronghold by the Dunlending clan of Camrynn (with the aid or a sorcerer), is attacking the surrounding clans in an attempt to regain his stronghold and relics. Can your party recover the sword of Beogrin and return it to his tomb? • The Lord of Daylight by Greg Saunders While travelling through the Trollshaws, your company is approached by a pair of Elves whose wandering Company was robbed of the Kalanidri, or "Jewel of Daylight", an ancient artifact vital to their Elvish quest to persuade some of their fellows to remain in Middle-earth instead of crossing the sea. The Elves beg your help in recovering the precious stone. • The Shadow Over Dale by Jim Johnson In the years just before the War of the Ring, someone – or something – is attacking the outlying settlements of the kingdom of Dale, looting the buildings and putting the inhabitants to death. King Brand has decreed that a scouting party must investigate. If your party can discover the source of the attacks and return to King Brand with the information, you may buy more time to prepare for the coming war. • The Ruins of Annúminas by Scott Metzger War is looming as Saruman is enticing the Dunlendings to reclaim their lands. Key to this, he says, is the importance in discovering some lost and ancient relics. Your party of Rangers must stop the Dunlending incursion into the Free lands before they unleash something far deadlier than Saruman himself. Sharing Widget |
