PLOT OUTLINE:

Dr. David Gale, is an often and active and outspoken advocate of abolishing the death penalty in the state of Texas. He is falsely accused and finds himself convicted and imprisoned for rape and murder. The story unfolds as he awaits his execution and tells his story to a reporter through a series of memories and flashbacks.
