"Mr. Brightside" has reached number one in the charts of various countries. It was a number 10 hit on both the Billboard Hot 100 and the Official UK Singles Chart. The song was also nominated for a Grammy in 2006 for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal, but it lost to a live version of "This Love" by Maroon 5. "Mr. Brightside" entered the Billboard Hot 100 ranked #40 on February 12, 2005, and peaked at #10 on June 11., thus making it a sleeper hit. In June 2004, "Mr.Brightside" peaked at Number 10 on the UK Singles Chart and has since become one of the longest chart sitters in the 21st Century spending a total of "69 weeks in the UK Top 100". Its last appearance was in January 2010 , 6 years after its original UK release. In the 2005 year-end rankings from Billboard, "Mr. Brightside" ranked 16th. Hot Fuss is the debut studio album by American alternative rock band The Killers, released on June 15, 2004. The album reached top of the album charts in both the United Kingdom and Australia, and stayed in the Top 50 of the Billboard 200 chart for over fifty weeks. Singles from the album include "Somebody Told Me", "Mr. Brightside", "All These Things That I've Done" and "Smile Like You Mean It".
