While returning to Earth, the space-bus explodes and the fragments bring an alien virus that recodes the human DNA. - É o 1º filme em língua inglesa do diretor Oliver Hirschbiegel.



- As filmagens ocorreram entre 26 de setembro e 17 de dezembro de 2005.



- Daniel Craig estava em meio às filmagens de Invasores quando foi informado pela produtora Barbara Broccoli de que fora escolhido como o novo intérprete de James Bond. O ator conseguiu uma breve licença das filmagens, para que pudesse participar da conferência de imprensa de seu anúncio em Londres.



- Esta é a 4ª versão do livro de Jack Finney para o cinema. As anteriores foram Vampiros de Almas (1956), Invasores de Corpos (1978) e Invasores de Corpos (1993).



- Inicialmente Invasores seria lançado nos cinemas dos Estados Unidos em 2006, mas os produtores não aprovaram a versão feita pelo diretor Oliver Hirschbiegel. Com isso os irmãos Andy e Larry Wachowski foram contratados para reescrever o roteiro, com James McTeigue dirigindo novas cenas em janeiro de 2007.
